रथ को हाँको

रथ को हाँको आगे आगे,

इसके घोड़े सरपट भागें,

घोड़ों की आँखों पर डाले मोटे परदे,

बांया खींचो बांये भागें, दांया, दांये भागें,–

रथ को हाँको आगे आगे

जो लगाम  को खींच रहा है,

देखे इधर उधर की हरियाली,

पैर रपट जाये अष्वों का – इधर उधर वो भागे

तब वो कोई सोच लगाम को कसके,

मार्ग दिखाये एक निराला,

कदम पड़े तब उसके दृढ़ और तब वो जाय संभाला

पीछे बैठा रथी निराला,

जब देखे इनका तमाशा,

सब को खींच राह पर लाये,

कोई इधर उधर न भागा।

The chariot
Speeds
The horses race
Blindfolded they
go left or right.
The chariot
Glides through
green fields and
Rolling pastures
On rocky roads
It stumbles
In a split second
The ride could go awry
The Chariot tumble 

The Charioteer
Oh so wise
With skillful hands
Holds the reins tight
Kindly smiles
Gently guides
The Chariot
Over rough terrains
With solid restrain

O Master Charioteer
Maker of Destiny
My chariot is Thine.
