Social Work
Dr. Mair was the Founder/President of All India Women's Conference, Yamunanagar chapter, President of Ladies Samaaj, Sector-4 Gurgaon and founder of a girls' sewing school at the Arya Samaaj, a Board Member of several institutions and organizations including D.A.V. Polytechnic for Women and M.L.N. College (both in Yamunanagar).


Literary Work
An avid reader and a prolific writer, Dr. Mair wrote booklets with poems and thoughts, and articles for social, literary and music magazines. She was the founder of Hindi Sahitya Sabha of Haryana.


Classical Music
An accomplished classical singer, and sitar player, Dr. Mair had won a gold medal at a singing contest and also sang at All India Radio, Lucknow. She is credited for promoting classical music in Yamunanagar, by organizing concerts and providing patronage to music organizations such as Vishwas Sangeet Parishad.
