जीवन कुटिया

-जीवेम शरदः शतम

मानव कुटिया दृढ़ बना ले,

सौ बरस यदि रहना इसमें ।

नीवें इसकी गहरी बना कर,

सुन्दर फूस से इसे बना ले,

वर्षा इस में आने न पाए ।

मानव—

इसका एक-एक तिनका हो दृढ़,

पुष्ट बांस दें इसे सहारा,

इसकी छाया में बैठ के गाओ,

शतशः वर्षों तक गीत प्रभु के।

Jeevan Kutiya
Oh man
Build a hut so strong
It lasts a hundred years
Let the foundation be deep
No cracks appear

Surround it with flowering vines
A cozy retreat
That keeps the rain out
And draws the sunshine in

A sacred space for your
heart to chant
The name of the Lord
Your beloved your friend
